Either way the two are merged, keeping whichever attempt is further along.
Draw one line for each train, in its colour, from its start to its
finish. A line steps from square to neighbouring square, leaves its start the way the start
points, and never turns round inside a square. Squares no line uses are fine.startfinisha line
Lines may cross, but only on straights: two lines share a square only
when both run straight through it at right angles. Otherwise track never overlaps, and no
line runs into a void or a station.crossingvoid
A station counts the eight squares around it, diagonals included, in
which its own train has track — its start and finish count too, and each square counts
once. Its number is that count. A station with ? only has to be passed at least
once.station? station
A piece of track printed on the board has to be laid by one of the
lines, whichever train it is. A straight piece may still be crossed at right
angles.piece
Draw by dragging across squares with a train picked in the bar {i:line}. Pick
a train there, or press its start on the board. Drag back along your own track to rub it
out, or switch to {i:erase}. Track need not begin at the start — lay the pieces you are
sure of anywhere and join them up later.
Mark squares {i:green} or {i:red} as notes to yourself. Nothing is checked against
them, and track through one clears it. On a mouse, dragging with {i:rmb} erases, and
backspace is {i:undo}.
Zoom with {i:zin} {i:zout}, a two-finger pinch, or ctrl and the
wheel. {i:fit} re-centres the board on the screen.
Move the board by dragging with two fingers, the middle mouse
button, or from the margin around the board.
Your work and your time are kept per puzzle, so you can leave and come back to
exactly where you were.
